Valid Documents Required for New Voter ID Registration
If you have just turned 18 years old, congratulations! You are now eligible to register as a voter and participate in building the nation. To register for a new Voter ID in Arunachal Pradesh using Form 6, you must prove your identity.
Many applications get rejected because users upload the wrong documents. Let's know the exact, official list of valid documents you need to keep ready before applying online.
You Need Two Types of Proof
To successfully fill out Form 6, the ECI requires you to upload exactly two types of documents: one for Age Proof (to prove you are 18+) and one for Address Proof (to prove you live in that constituency).

Important Rules for Uploading
When you are doing the online registration, keep these strict rules in mind so your application is approved on the very first try:
- Aadhaar is Best: If you have an Aadhaar Card with your correct Date of Birth and correct Address, you can upload the same Aadhaar Card for BOTH Age Proof and Address Proof!
- Clear Photos: Do not upload blurry photos taken in the dark. The BLO must be able to read the text on the document. Ensure it is a clear scan.
- File Size: The ECI portal only accepts files up to 2MB in size. You can upload them in JPEG or PDF format.
How to Apply with These Documents
Once you have taken clear photos of your documents, let's know how to submit them online. Follow the below steps:
Step 1. Visit the ECI Portal: For the very first step, go to the official website: https://voters.eci.gov.in/ from your phone or PC.
Step 2. Login to Account: Login using your mobile number. If you are a new user, click the Sign Up button to create an account.
Step 3. Open Form 6: On the dashboard screen, click on Form 6 (Application for New Voters) to start your fresh registration.
Step 4. Fill and Upload: Carefully type all your personal details exactly as they appear on your documents. When you reach the document section, click 'Upload' and select your Age Proof and Address Proof images.
Step 5. Submit Form: Review all details one last time and click submit. You will receive a Reference Number on your mobile via SMS to track your Voter ID status!
