The Election Commission of India has made a very special provision to link your Aadhaar Card with your Voter ID (EPIC) Card. This is done to establish identity safely and remove fake voters from the Arunachal Pradesh electoral roll.

Although it is completely voluntary and not mandatory, linking it secures your voter profile. You can do this easily from your home using Form 6B. Let's know how to do it quickly.

Why Should You Link Them?

  • It protects your name from being accidentally deleted by the system.
  • It prevents anyone else from making a fake voter ID in your name.
  • It helps the government keep the electoral roll clean and accurate for the 2026 elections.

Step-by-Step Guide to Link Aadhaar Online

You can easily fill out Form 6B using your mobile phone or computer. Keep your Aadhaar Card and Voter ID card ready in your hand. Follow the below detailed steps:

Step 1. Visit the NVSP / ECI Portal: First of all, you need to open your internet browser and go to the official ECI portal: https://voters.eci.gov.in/.

Step 2. Login to your Profile: Now login using your registered mobile number and password. If you do not have an account, click the Sign Up button to make a free account in two minutes.

Step 3. Search for Form 6B: On the main dashboard screen, you have to look for the section titled 'Aadhaar Collection'. Under this section, you will see Form 6B. Click on it to start the linking process.

Step 4. Verify your EPIC Number: The system will automatically show your Voter ID (EPIC) number. Verify that the details showing on the screen are actually yours.

Step 5. Enter your Aadhaar Number: Now you have to carefully type your 12-digit Aadhaar Number in the box provided. Make sure there are no typing mistakes!

Step 6. Submit and Save: Finally, click the Submit button. The system will give you a Reference ID on the screen. Save this Reference ID safely so you can track the linking status later.

What if I Don't Have an Aadhaar Card?

If you don't have an Aadhaar Card yet, do not worry! In Form 6B, there is an option to say "I am not able to furnish my Aadhaar Number". If you select this, you can upload any other valid ID like a PAN Card, Driving License, or Indian Passport instead.
