What is Form 6 Used For?

Form 6 is the "Application for New Voters". You must only use this form if you fall into one of these categories:

  • You just turned 18 years old and are applying for the very first time.
  • You are an older citizen but have never registered to vote in your entire life.
  • Your name was officially deleted from the Voter List by mistake (or because of absence), and you need to re-register completely as a fresh entry.

What is Form 8 Used For?

Form 8 is the multi-purpose form for "Existing Voters". If you already have a Voter ID card (even an old black-and-white one), you must use Form 8 for all these services:

Reason Action to take inside Form 8
Shifting Residence Use Form 8 to shift your voting address to a new village or a new state completely.
